WEnCoop Energy Cooperative
WEnCoop is a “broad-based” energy Cooperative created by women from diverse backgrounds. Members of WEnCoop join forces to innovate and develop the 1st Women Energy Cooperative in Europe, putting into practice the energy revolution in the world of net zero. The Cooperative aims to develop women entrepreneurship and to promote energy innovation, to address energy poverty, to promote energy sustainability, to produce, store, consume, distribute and supply energy; endues efficiency, at local and regional level. WEnCoop’s individual goals are to strengthen the role of citizens and to gradually evolve from consumers to active members and micro-investors in local clean energy investment projects. The overall goal is to reach out to concerned citizens and most importantly women to create an entirely new market structure, which is not only focused on creating new products and services in the renewable energy sector but more importantly on raising awareness of women’s involvement in the Energy Industry.
Elektropionir
Elektropionir is a member-owned cooperative establishing rooftop solar power plants and raising awareness on renewable energy sources. It is a key actor of engaging people in participating in the transition of the energy sector and enhancing changes in the legislative/procedural framework. They develop recommendations offering know-how to interested parties and organize informative and training campaigns to spread knowledge and experience to citizens and potential investors. The Cooperative takes action on educating the next generation about energy transition and promote the equal inclusion of both men and women in the green economy and recovery.
Rinascita Cooperativa Sociale
Rinascita is a social cooperative company based in the municipality of Copertino, in the province of Lecce, established with a notarial deed in 1999 by a group of mainly young, motivated and convinced that cooperation, sociality and solidarity are values and a way for the successful accomplishment of the person in the world of work and for his integration into the community. The pursued activity is therefore aimed at the job placement of young and disadvantaged people, through the construction of stable employment opportunities, aiming to enhance the group’s design, operational and managerial skills through the combination of entrepreneurship and democracy, in order to also be able to contribute in this way to the socioeconomic development of the territory. Rinascita Cooperativa Sociale designs and manages on its own and on behalf of and in collaboration with local administrations and public bodies, a very diverse range of social, socio-educational and personal services.
