Women Going Greener Hackathon | Inspiring Policies for a Sustainable Future
As part of the Women Going Greener project, an exciting Hackathon was organized ahead of the final Transnational Partners Meeting to generate real-world insights and ideas that would feed into the project’s Policy Recommendation Paper. The Hackathon brought together an inspiring mix of female entrepreneurs, policy-makers, and green economy experts from Greece, Italy, and Serbia — all committed to accelerating the green transition of women-led businesses.
Purpose:
To collaboratively explore how policies, funding schemes, and support services can better address the needs of female entrepreneurs who wish to adopt sustainable practices.
Key Outcomes:
- Participants worked in teams to tackle pressing green entrepreneurship challenges, from access to funding and renewable energy solutions to policy gaps and local support mechanisms.
- Each group developed policy ideas and practical recommendations that were presented, discussed, and evaluated by a panel of experts.
- The most impactful suggestions were integrated into the draft Policy Recommendation Paper presented during the Final TPM in Italy, helping shape concrete proposals for institutions and stakeholders across Europe.
The Hackathon successfully bridged practice with policy, reinforcing the project’s mission to empower women entrepreneurs and support their shift toward sustainable and environmentally conscious business models.
