Learning Teaching Training Event | 10–12 September 2024 | Thessaloniki, Greece
The Women Going Greener consortium successfully held its Learning Teaching Training Event from 10 to 12 September 2024 in Thessaloniki, Greece. Hosted by WEnCoop, this three-day immersive training gathered female entrepreneurs and adult educators from Greece, Italy, and Serbia, aiming to build capacities and foster green business practices among women-led SMEs.
Throughout the training, participants engaged in six dynamic learning modules designed by the project partners — WEnCoop, Rinascita, and Elektropionir — blending theoretical insights, practical strategies, and collaborative discussion.
Highlights of the Training Included:
- Green Mindset Mastery and Eco-Enthusiasm Unleashed (Rinascita): Exploring the psychological drivers behind sustainable business behavior and embracing green values.
- Footprint Minimization Magic and Pathways to Sustainability (Elektropionir & WEnCoop): Learning how to reduce environmental impact and access tools and technologies for sustainable transformation.
- Funding Green Dreams (WEnCoop): Understanding financing mechanisms and opportunities available to support green initiatives.
- Harvesting Solar Power (Elektropionir): A deep dive into renewable energy and solar panel systems for SMEs.
The program also included interactive Q&A sessions, module evaluations, and a study visit to the Thessaloniki International Trade Fair, offering hands-on exposure to innovative green technologies. The event concluded with a collective reflection session and a farewell dinner, celebrating new knowledge, shared experiences, and cross-border collaboration.
This training event was a key milestone in the Women Going Greener project, equipping participants with the skills, inspiration, and tools needed to lead the shift toward more sustainable, environmentally responsible entrepreneurship.
