Project Result 1: “Female Entrepreneurs Going Greener” Training Material

As a key outcome of the Women Going Greener project, this training package has been developed to strengthen the green skills and sustainability competencies of female entrepreneurs, SME owners, executives, and managers. Drawing on research and direct input from target groups across Europe, the training material covers critical themes such as environmental sustainability in business, tools for reducing ecological impact, and available financing mechanisms. The modules are structured to be practical, accessible, and applicable across diverse sectors.

Module 4: Pathways to sustainability and Tools for a Greener Future

Project Result 2: Mapping the current situation for enabling Greener and Resilient SMEs

This result presents a comprehensive mapping of the current policy, legal, and institutional frameworks relevant to the environmental transition of female-led SMEs in Greece, Italy, and Serbia. It includes an in-depth review of more than 30 case studies showcasing best practices, barriers, and success factors in implementing sustainable business models. The mapping serves as a foundational reference for those seeking to understand the enabling (or limiting) conditions for greener entrepreneurship across Europe.

Project Result 3: Female SMEs Going Greener Action Plan

The Action Plan represents a practical guide designed to support female entrepreneurs and SMEs in planning and implementing sustainability-focused improvements within their businesses. It combines evidence from policy mapping and field interviews with women who have successfully adopted green practices. The Plan includes suggested actions, good practices, legal references, and tools tailored to support the transition to more environmentally responsible operations.

Project Result 4: Policy Recommendation Paper

Developed through a participatory policy hackathon involving stakeholders, government representatives, and female entrepreneurs, this Policy Recommendation Paper outlines actionable proposals to enhance the policy environment for the green transition of women-led SMEs. The recommendations aim to inform decision-makers at national and EU level and support more inclusive and effective green growth strategies.
